Position Summary:
The Instructional Designer / Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator is responsible for designing and developing engaging training programs and materials that support organizational learning and development initiatives. This role also serves as the primary administrator of the LMS, ensuring effective platform functionality and user support. This position plays a vital role in supporting Comfort Keepers' mission by delivering high-quality learning experiences aligned with company strategies and goals.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in content development and online learning; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 (especially Storyline), Canva, Camtasia, and Animaker preferred.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead the full lifecycle of training development—from initial concept through deployment and evaluation.
  • Conduct needs assessments with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning opportunities and gaps.
  • Apply instructional design models, adult learning principles, and best practices to create scalable, high-quality learning solutions, including:
    • eLearning modules
    • Instructor-led sessions (in-person and virtual)
    • Job aids, guides, and other support materials
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and subject matter experts throughout the design and review process.
  • Communicate training updates and new course launches to relevant audiences.
  • Develop multimedia content, including instructional videos and podcasts, using video editing tools.
  • Serve as the primary LMS administrator:
  • Manage system configuration, course uploads, and content updates.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in course metadata (titles, descriptions, images).
  • Provide LMS training and support to internal users and franchisees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Competency/Skill Requirements:
  • Expertise in instructional design and training development.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and design skills.
  • Strong proficiency in eLearning tools and multimedia content creation.
  • Effective time and project management with ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and across cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning theory and digital learning strategies.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
Working Environment:
Hybrid with 2-3 in-office days per week. Office is based out of Irvine, CA. 

Position Physical Demands:
Walking, sitting, and standing with lifting not to exceed 25 lbs. Extended time at a computer work screen and on the telephone. Driving to marketing events will be required. 

Base Salary Range: $85,000-100,000
