LHH is working with an energy company in the Dallas area that is adding a new Staff Accountant to their team. This role involves calculating settlements to generate producer payments for assigned systems, focusing on the accounting and reporting of transactions related to natural gas plant operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate gas settlements for producer payments through TIPS on assigned systems.
• Generate sales invoices and monitor payments, conducting monthly reviews of accounts receivable aging for specific assets.
• Process monthly journal entries and prepare detailed gross margin reports.
• Track monthly imbalances by verifying measurement volumes against scheduled volumes and third-party pipeline statements.
• Process and distribute settlement statements, imbalance reports, and operator statements to relevant counterparties.
• Assist customers with inquiries related to settlements.
• Update and maintain company changes and address updates in TIPS.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• Knowledge of midstream accounting preferred.
• Strong computer skills; proficiency in TIPS and related systems is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities are essential.
