Social Creative Director

What that really means is that you create work that jumps from a strong strategic foundation and brings joy and delight to the room when it's presented. Yes, creativity is a team sport and social media specifically requires a constant tap in what culture really cares about.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading a team of social creatives and sometimes non social creatives supervising, leading, and inspire great work.
  • Senior-level client engagement.
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to select and manage external vendors.
  • Produces ideas on strategy with creative that reflects and amplifies a brand personality within culture.
  • Mentor and coach the Social team, pushing ideas relentlessly forward—or strategically pulling them back—to achieve the best work possible.
  • Continually provide feedback to, and consultations with, all levels of staff within and outside of assigned client groups.
  • Actively participates in new business process/presentations.
  • Develop and cultivate a relationship with clients, as well as with management personnel, in other departments within the agency itself.
  • Provides leadership, motivation and conveys the vision and values of the agency to creative staff.
  • Work with creative leadership to address performance, workflow, and quality issues and develop long-range plans for the creative group.
  • You make decks, lots of them, and not only do they look good… they tell an amazing story.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work from our OWTC NYC office or Downtown Houston office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Extensive experience working as an Associate Creative Director or Creative Director level in an agency environment with keen expertise in Social Media..
  • Demonstrated creative success leading collaborative, multi-functional teams.
  • Experience leading global campaigns across diverse markets and audiences.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cultural, design, business, social media and technology trends.
  • Proven success in pitching and winning new business while deepening client partnerships.
  • Is comfortable being client facing and has strong communication skills while representing the agency.
  • Background in either Copywriting or Art Direction/Design, with a portfolio that demonstrates conceptual and executional excellence.
  • Recognition from major international creative awards is a strong plus.
  • Is inherently curious and creative. Somebody who views creativity as part of their sense of self vs. merely as a job.
  • Embraces diverse thoughts, perspectives, styles and sensibilities.

Base Compensation Range: $115,000 - $185,000 annually, depending on experience. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
