Description
Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and AudiologyThe health psychologist within Otolaryngology will work in close collaboration with the specialists in neurotology, sleep surgery, audiology, and gender-affirming surgery to support patients. This work will include pre-surgical evaluation and clearance, outpatient psychotherapy (e.g., tinnitus, vertigo, adjustment), and program development. Activities occur across outpatient, inpatient, and virtual settings. This department has had a health psychologist embedded for over a decade and are very collaborative and supportive of program development and research interests, committed to supporting your practice and growth, as well as being well aware of the skills that health psychology brings to the team. You will also find community among the 20+ other embedded health psychologists within the health system with regular meetings, billing/coding support, referral pathways, and social events.For more information or to apply:
Qualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Health Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program and at least 1-year post-doc experience. Skill and experience in providing clinical psychological services to patients with acute or chronic medical illness, mental health, substance use, and/or developmental disorders and systems-based perspective that includes caregivers. Licensed or license-eligible in Michigan.
