Protocol Engineering at Sei Sei Labs is looking for a Protocol Engineer to lead the development of core components of the Sei Blockchain. You'll work at the forefront of blockchain infrastructure, designing and optimizing the foundational layers of a high-performance, scalable decentralized network. Collaborate closely with our engineering team and ecosystem partners to innovate and push blockchain technology's boundaries. Responsibilities Develop core Sei blockchain components (consensus, state management, etc.). Identify and implement optimizations to improve product performance. Collaborate with frontend teams to refine REST APIs supporting our customers. Take ownership of your work and team contributions. Qualifications 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience. Proven experience in building or scaling Layer 1 blockchain performance. Experience leading large projects with long-term system impact. Strong technical judgment and prioritization skills. Ability to solve complex engineering problems effectively. Experience creating processes and tooling to enhance engineering efficiency.
