I. Summary of the Position:

NYC private real estate management company seeking an individual to be a part of the office staff. This person would be responsible for a number of office tasks including but not limited to mail distribution, filing, ordering/restocking pantry items, errands, and recording of monthly utility bills. All work must be consistent and completed in a timely manner. Accuracy and attention to detail are especially important to ensure proper filing. This position is full time and in office only. 

II. Job Responsibilities:
• Receive, open, distribute, label and organize invoices/mail
• Organize and maintain paper and electronic files 
• File and retrieve files 
• Assist with scanning, copying and data entry tasks
• Mail out payments 
• Log all utility bills in portfolio into excel spreadsheets
• Order/restock pantry/kitchen items
• General office errands

 

III. Hiring Specifications: 

• Detail-oriented and organized to maintain and manage the Company’s filing system and ensure paid invoices are filed in a timely and accurate manner
• Knowledge and understanding of accounts payable accounting. Excellent data entry skills
• The highest level of and focus on integrity and professionalism, and a strong work ethic; detail-oriented who focuses on implementation and follow-through.
• A neat, organized, fast-checking individual that has attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to communicate with manager.
• Ability to work well in a team setting and take direction
• Problem identification and resolution skills
• Computer skills: Excel
• Yardi or MRI accounting system a plus
• Knowledge in the Real estate industry is a plus
