Managing Vice President, Grb Research

The Managing Vice President (MVP), GRB Research will be responsible for leading a global team of associates who primarily focus on creating and delivering world class business and technology insight for our clients. These clients comprise Senior Leaders and Executives from the largest organizations in the world, who rely on us to shape and support the critical priorities for their business.

The Managing Vice President is responsible for leading people, content creation and navigating the internal stakeholder landscape effectively and efficiently. The team consists of multiple people leaders and ~20 associates in total who operate across five dedicated cross industry and functional research programs for a variety of tech leaders including CIOs, CISOs, CDAOs etc. These programs are designed to support the delivery of client value and subsequent growth of the Gartner business.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and propagating the use of best practices in our research process and deliverables in all the formats we provide to clients such as reports, presentations, and workshops.
  • Achieving additional scale through process improvement including automation and use of AI to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Leadership of the team includes motivating, developing, and coaching managers, associates, and ensuring their focus is centered around content creation that will deliver and drive business results.
  • Collaborating with internal partners in designing our events and other client experiences built around the research.
  • Providing thought leadership internally and externally on the critical issues affecting senior technology leaders around the world.
  • Partnering with account teams to support Gartner value and growth in our target markets.
  • High stakes client interaction.
  • Developing and retaining top talent within the team.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years relevant experience packaging and delivering high value insight to senior clients.
  • Strong understanding of the IT industry and the role of the CIO and their teams in driving business outcomes.
  • Proven team leadership, ideally with experience of leading global teams.
  • Successful track record leading collaboratively in a complex organization.
  • Strong commercial acumen to ensure activities are always tied back to driving business results.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
