Job DescriptionMachinist IThe Machinist will work with other team members throughout all departments to perform excellent work and continuously improve. The job will consist primarily of working in a Production/R&D shop floor environment which includes various CNC machines and Swiss machines. Work will also include recording production data.Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Type: Full-time Hours: 40-45 hrs Schedule: M-FReports to: Production ManagerKey RolesWork to standard: Perform work to standards for safety, quality, and time while identifying abnormalities.Organize work area: Maintain and improve organization and cleanliness of work area.Solve problems: Support the team in solving problems for customers and improving processes.Basic Machine PM's: Regular care and preventative maintenance of machines.Machine set ups and adjustments: Set up and changeover of machines.Key Competencies Willingness to learnAble to work independently and with othersAble to collaborate and communicate wellAble to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to operate CNC and/or Swiss machinesProficient with measurement toolsStrong mathematical skills (decimals, calculations, conversions, etc.)Ability to read and understand parts drawings.Essential FunctionsLifting up to 50 lbs.Regularly using hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
