Job Description

Provide dedicated nursing support in a school setting as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for one-on-one student care. This contract role, based in Nashua, NH, focuses on supporting students with diverse medical and educational needs during the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct one-on-one nursing care to students with a range of medical requirements.
• Administer and monitor treatments including tracheostomy (Trach), gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care, ventilator (Vent) support, seizure management, diabetic care, and toileting assistance as applicable.
• Collaborate with educational staff to assist with academics when needed.
• Provide support on student bus rides as required.
• Maintain accurate records of care and communicate effectively with school personnel and healthcare providers.
• Adhere to all state nursing regulations and school policies.

Qualifications:

• Current and active LPN or LVN license for the state of New Hampshire.
• Experience providing nursing care in pediatric or school settings preferred.
• Comfort and competence in managing complex medical needs including Trach, G-tube, Vent, seizure and diabetic care.
• Ability to assist with mobility and toileting, and readiness to support students during academic activities.
• Willingness to accompany students on bus rides when assigned.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (School Year Duration)
Shift: Primarily one-on-one support with some variability depending on assignment.
