About the Role
The Company is seeking an Interim Executive Director to provide essential leadership and support during the search for a permanent ED. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board and Committees to ensure effective governance, and will be responsible for the administrative and operational management of the Foundation. This includes overseeing financial and operational elements, providing regular reports to the Board, and mentoring and guiding employees to align their work with the new strategic plan. The role also involves maintaining excellent donor stewardship, supporting the grand opening of a new facility, and nurturing relationships between the Foundation, the community, and the health center. Candidates for the Interim Executive Director position at the company should have a background as an Executive Director or Interim ED in a charitable organization. A deep understanding of the social determinants of health affecting Indigenous people in urban settings, as well as a strong commitment to and knowledge of Indigenous health and traditional healing practices, is essential. The role requires the ability to work with diverse teams, including staff, Board members, and community colleagues, and to support the Foundation's mission of enhancing the health and wellness of the urban Indigenous community. The ideal candidate will be adept at fundraising, donor relations, and will play a key role in the strategic planning and operationalization of the Foundation's goals.
