Archeology/Preservation placements work with professionals including archeologists, museum curators, historic landscape architects and preservation maintenance workers to fulfill a broad range of responsibilities related to historic preservation. Placements carry out field and office work related to historic landscapes, archeological sites, traditional Hawaiian structures and archeological museum collections. Field work includes identification of historic sites, data collection, condition assessments and mapping. Office work involves writing reports, conducting research, managing geo-referenced data and updating site and museum collections records.

This SCA Position is authorized under the Public Land Corps Authority. All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger. Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States. Hours served can be applied toward the Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring authority.

Compensation:
Living allowance - $500/week
Housing stipend - $1,200/month
