Overview ERM is seeking a motivated Consultant, Environmental Due Diligence to join our Mergers & Acquisitions Transaction Advisory team. The role can be based in preferred locations including Manhattan, NY; Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Rolling Meadows, IL; Philadelphia, PA; or Hartford, CT , with openness to other locations. This hybrid role involves managing and performing Environmental, Health and Safety, and compliance due diligence projects for multinational corporate and financial clients, collaborating with ERM’s subject matter experts. Responsibilities Perform EHS and ESG due diligence projects involving multi-site portfolios locally, nationally, and globally. Gain industry experience in Energy, Manufacturing, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Infrastructure, Transportation, and Retail sectors. Collaborate with Project Managers to identify liabilities, risks, and opportunities related to transactions. Conduct due diligence assessments following ASTM Phase I standards and other protocols, including compliance evaluations. Prepare detailed reports assessing environmental liabilities, compliance, and operational status at facilities. Perform environmental compliance assessments at industrial and commercial sites. Manage regional and global projects within scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality standards. Communicate effectively with clients, ERM team members, and vendors. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's in environmental science, engineering, business, or related field, or 6+ years of relevant experience. At least 2 years of experience in environmental consulting and due diligence projects. Solid knowledge of ASTM Phase I standards and legal concepts related to transactions. Excellent communication, report writing, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, travel, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities. Additional Information The annual base salary range for this position is $77,000 – $91,421, depending on various factors including experience, education, and location.
