Job Description

We are seeking a Commercial Plumber to join our team! The selected individual will install and repair pipes that transport water to buildings, install and repair drain and sewer lines carrying water and waste from buildings and install, maintain and repair plumbing related components and appliances.

General Requirements:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Criminal background check is required
• Must have valid driver’s license with no major violations within the last three years.
• Proven experience as a plumber or successful completion of trade school or apprenticeship program
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must demonstrate ability to work safely.
• Represent our company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
• Be willing to Travel 60-90% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently uses a shovel and other tools to dig and uncover underground piping.
• Must lift and carry tools and materials daily. Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs.
• Must be able to see and respond to hazardous situations.
• Must be able to respond quickly to sounds
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly most of the day.

Work Environment/Conditions:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in hot, cold and occasionally wet or inclement conditions.
• When performing underground pipe repairs, site conditions are often muddy
• Plumbers get dirty
• Occasionally, work is performed in a confined space, such as a man hole.
• Must adhere to all job site safety standards

Daily Tasks:

• Must embrace and comply with required company and regulatory safety standards
• Identify equipment, supplies and materials required for project
• Solid understanding of water distribution and waste systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, drain cleaning machines, etc.)
• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Operate sectional cable drain and sewer cleaning equipment
• Operate high pressure jetting equipment
• Operate excavation equipment
• Install, maintain and repair gas fired water heaters
• Install, maintain and repair hydronic heating systems
• Install, maintain and repair sewage lift stations and pumps
• Install, maintain and repair waste disposal and sanitary waste systems
